A free two-day celebration of storytelling, literature and the power of the written word—featuring best-selling author and alumna Alice Hoffman.

Join us Friday, April 5 and Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the Adelphi University Garden City campus on Long Island. All events are free and open to the public. Join your fellow readers and writers for two days of everything literary. Inspired and founded by Adelphi alumna and novelist Alice Hoffman ’73, ’02 (Hon.), author of more than 40 books, including Practical Magic, The Dovekeepers and Aquamarine, we will host a festival to share the pleasures of reading and writing with students, teachers, librarians, emerging writers, and the local Garden City community and beyond.

Meet bestselling authors including Victor LaValle, Adriana Trigiani, Ann Leary, Mona Awad, Ada Calhoun, Liana Finck, Lauren Grodstein, Charles Leerhsen, Lisa Belkin, Julie Klam, Kim Coleman Foote, Laura Zigman, and Alice Hoffman; discover your next favorite writer; get an inside look at the art of writing and the business of publishing, and find community with fellow book lovers. And it’s all happening right here on the Adelphi campus in Garden City,  New York.

Free and open to the public. Registration is required and is now open at: https://www.adelphi.edu/writers-readers-festival/A complete schedule of the two days of offerings is available on the registration page.

The first 200 people to register will receive the latest book by one of our featured authors (limit one book per registrant) and a festival canvas book bag.
