Supporting Educators around Digital Citizenship and AI Wednesday, November 15, 2023, 4:30 PM Presenter: Jackie Patanio, Director of Ed Technology -Staten Island District 31 3 CTLE Credits
This session will help teachers better understand and curate resources around digital citizenship and artificial intelligence (AI) in education. In today's digital age, students encounter a lot of online content and AI technology. It's important for educators to experience platforms and eventually guide students to use these resources responsibly and ethically. During this session, we'll discuss digital citizenship, focusing on teaching students critical thinking, empathy, and online safety. We'll also discuss practical ways to deal with issues like online ethics, privacy, and cyberbullying, while promoting respectful online behavior in addition to creating a resource bank of tools.
